RTX Mode in GTX Cards: How to Get the Most Out of Your GTX 1080Ti ?-GAMES sport

RTX in GTX cards

Your new GTX 1080Ti was a huge investment, but you’re not getting the most out of it just yet. Without knowing it, you purchased one of the first video cards to support NVIDIA’s new RTX technology. In this guide, we’ll show you how to enable RTX mode on your GTX 1080Ti and how to get the most out of your graphics card in the latest games like Battlefield V and Red Dead Redemption 2.

What is NVIDIA’s Real-Time Ray Tracing Technology?

NVIDIA has its own ray tracing technology called RTX. As part of their Turing GPU architecture, RTX combines real-time ray tracing, AI and rasterization. Ray tracing is an advanced rendering technique that models how light bounces off objects in order to create more realistic lighting effects. It allows games and other applications to use photorealistic graphics rather than handcrafted artwork. To learn more about RTX, check out NVIDIA’s explainer video on YouTube.

Can i use RTX mode in GTX 1080TI?

RTX is an NVIDIA GPU feature that uses a lot of resources. Because of its hardware requirements, RTX is only supported by a limited number of games at present, as well as select creative software applications. If you are running on an RTX-ready GTX graphics card and playing supported games, then it makes sense to enable RTX mode for higher quality visual effects or else gameplay enhancement. you can check with your GTX 1080Ti in RTX supported games like Battlefield V.

Game Support For NVIDIA RTX

The latest versions of several popular games have already been optimized for RTX. In many cases, we’ve seen performance gains in these titles of up to 50% when using an RTX-based GPU. But not all RTX-enabled games are supported by these changes... yet.

(RTX ON) What Are The Enhancements, Performance Impact & Drawbacks?

RTX is a set of special rendering instructions for game developers, who can use it to make games that look better or run smoother on specific graphics cards. RTX is also known as Tensor Cores, which are responsible for using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning in real-time applications. When RTX mode is enabled then your FPS significantly Drop down .So far, only a handful of games support RTX, including Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition, Battlefield V and Shadow of The Tomb Raider. But there’s no reason why you shouldn’t try out RTX mode in other PC games with compatible hardware. Here’s how to do it... 1. First off, open your Nvidia Control Panel from your desktop system tray by right-clicking your mouse on its icon. 2. Next up, select Manage 3D Settings from within your Nvidia Control Panel menu. 3. On your next screen, click Program Settings under the heading Select a program to customize its 3D settings. 4. From here, scroll down until you see an entry named Turing GPU and double-click it. 5. Now go back to your main Nvidia Control Panel window, where you should now see an entry named Rendering application setting override list near the bottom of your screen. 6. Click on Add at the bottom left corner of your window, then navigate to your game executable file via Browse... 7. Once you’ve found your game executable file, simply add it to your Rendering application setting override list and hit OK. 8. You should now be able to start playing your RTX-enabled game with RTX turned on! 9. To turn RTX off again, simply repeat steps 6 through 8 above and remove your selected game from the list instead of adding it. 10. That’s all there is to enabling RTX mode in games that support it!

(RTX OFF) Other Considerations

If you’re using a non-RTX enabled game and want to get more performance out of your card, consider experimenting with other settings. Nvidia has an overlay called Nvidia Control Panel, which helps users optimize their gaming experience, test their system, and capture video. This can be accessed through right-clicking on your desktop and choosing NVIDIA Control Panel from the menu that appears.
