2) Don’t Overload It With Programs

The more programs you have open, and the more data they have to process, slows down your computer or laptop. Close out any programs you aren’t using, and don’t install too many in the first place. Computers are great at processing one program at a time. When you overload them with too many programs at once, they work slower than usual because they’re trying to multitask. Are you a windows user? then here's a tip for you, do not install programs( GAMES, editing software, etc...) in your C drive it uses more space in your C drive it causes slow down your laptop or PC. free up at least 25% free space in your C drive.

3) Keep It Charged

Nobody wants their laptop running out of battery when they’re working on a crucial presentation. Since you can keep your laptop charged for about two or three hours, make sure you know how long it takes for your laptop to charge so that you always know how much time you have left. It may be worth investing in a charger with multiple ports so that if someone else needs one, you can give them access too.

4) Only Update When Necessary

It’s tempting to update your computer as soon as a new update is available, but most people can go for several months without updating. Unless you have a specific need for an updated program, like if you need software that works with a new operating system, hold off on updates until they become more pressing or necessary. You can also try creating a restore point before installing any updates; in case something goes wrong, you can revert back to your previous settings and avoid having to re-install programs.

5) Don't Run Too Many Programs at Once

Sometimes, when you're trying to get a lot done, you can start throwing all kinds of programs onto your computer. Before long, you may have ten tabs open in your browser and five different apps running on your desktop. However, that can negatively impact your laptop's performance. Close out those excess programs or at least shift them into the background while you work on one task at a time.
